Oil Consumption — 2AR-FE Engine
The 2009–2013 Camry and RAV4 4-cylinder (2AR-FE engine) has a documented oil consumption problem. Some owners see 1 quart consumed per 1,000 miles. We test and document consumption rate, then advise on the best course of action for your situation.
VSC / TRAC Warning Lights
The VSC and TRAC lights on Camry, Corolla, and RAV4 models frequently illuminate due to wheel speed sensors, oxygen sensors, or throttle body issues. These are fully diagnosable with our equipment — no dealer required.
Front Strut Noise
Clunking or creaking over bumps is common on higher-mileage Camry and RAV4 models due to worn strut mounts and isolators. We inspect and replace the entire strut assembly when needed.
Coolant Leaks (Prius & Older Camry)
The water pump and water outlet (thermostat housing) on older 2AZ-FE engines and Prius generation 2/3 are known to develop slow leaks. We catch these during oil changes and fix them before they cause overheating.
